Disastrous Poems

Weather
Loud and bold

warm and cold

surrounds us while we are asleep

and while we are awake

it is weather that is told

The Storm
The lights are flickering

the trees are bending

that means a storm

when the lights go off

that means the storm is here

Earthquake
I am in the kitchen

when my pots start to fall

I get my kids to stand in the doorway

my wife gets under a desk

and that’s when San Francisco Earthquake

struck

Pluto
He is a cold icy place

where no one dares to go

but if you do

make sure you have

a blanket or two
